Fråga: Svartqvarna mod 24. Hello again! The lighting circuit is not working. With a volt meter I get crazy readings of 0 to 19 volts wildly fluctuating between 0 to 19volts with the engine running at half throttle. Also there is no resistance between the positive output terminal and ground, ie. Resistance 0 ohms. Are the coils broken? I have checked to ensure that no wires are touching where they shouldn’t. Perhaps I need new coils? What should theresistance be through the coils?

Svar: The lightning coils has a resistance of less than 1 Ohm each. They are connected in parallell and therefore the reading should be around 0,5 Ohms between the output and the frame. It is very rare that lightning coils fails, especially two at the same time. Look for a broken connection in the soldering of the two leads in the connection screw (no 51).
